The Odd Podd: Episode 15 – The Plankman Cometh

In this episode Odd sits down with the owner of TapDetroit, a man known by many as Planky. Planky took on Odd pretty much sight unseen and seems to be grateful for it. Our Featured Artist for January is Carmel Liburdi, an amazingly talented Singer Songwriter Odd met years ago when he was first getting started in the Detroit music scene. He met her at an open mic night inside of a local coffee shop. Carmel was just a teenager, but her sound spirit and soulfulness was wise beyond her years.

Nobody really sounds like her, nobody really writes lyrics like her. So it’s hard to give you an idea of what she is like, beyond saying that she is a bright light in any room and has many talents.
